Great fishing resort. Top shelf service, equipment and the food is awesome. Accommodations are suitable but hope they get bigger beds. 35+ years in service with very high repeat customer base says a lot. They're a keeper.

I have been fishing with the crew at Rocky Point for 27 years. The experiences far exceed all expectations. People come and go, but the fishing, fun and friendship I've found with the crew at Rocky Point is incomparable. I'll be there again next summer.

Had a short trip down from Anchorage for Halibut and King Salmon. It was great. Fished with Captain Brooks. Would absolutely recommend you request him. He is knowledgeable about fishing and where the fish are but he's also not boring and has the best stories. He clearly loves being here and what he does everyday. He makes even the gray wet days fun and enjoyable.

Great service and very friendly people. They are happy to assist you if you want to try your hand fishing without a guide but the experiance of using the charter was well worth it and a blast for the kiddos and for getting the fish that we wanted.

If you're going to Petersburg to fish for halibut or salmon, this is the place to go. I've been coming back for nearly 2 decades. The food and hospitality is second to none. The charter boat captains are very friendly and knowledgeable. And if you want to go in a small boat on your own, they explain everything to you and even take you to show you before sending you off.

Great place with friendly people. The best food you can get. Lots of great fishing for king salmon and halibut, love the charter trips. The self guided boats do well to.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience at Rocky Point Resort, Alaska Just returned from my very first trip to Rocky Point Resort in Alaska for a fishing adventure — and let me tell you, it was nothing short of incredible from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed like family by Mike, who set the tone for the entire experience. That kind of warm hospitality is rare these days, and it made us feel right at home from the start. But the real magic of this trip? Our guide, Rob. When I say this man is the King of Alaska guides, I mean it. Rob isn’t just your average guide — he’s the guy you want in your corner when the stakes are high. Picture a Vegas high-roller, but instead of the casino floor, he’s dominating the Alaskan waters. He doesn’t just take you to the fish — he delivers an unforgettable experience. Rob was our guide, our entertainment, and the undisputed star of the show all week long. And after a long day reeling in trophies, the ladies in the kitchen treated us like royalty. The meals were top-notch — the perfect way to celebrate the day’s rewards and refuel for the next round. If you’re thinking about fishing in Alaska, don’t gamble on just any trip — this is your jackpot. Rocky Point Resort is the Las Vegas win of Alaskan fishing adventures. Don’t just take my word for it — go experience it yourself. You’ll come back with fish, memories, and stories that’ll last a lifetime.

View is amazing. Service is even better, the staff make so much good food and everything is made in their kitchen from scratch like the bread, soups, pizza, cookies, pastries, and the drinks are all made fresh by them and they taste amazing! And the captains of the boats that take us out were cool. The only downside l have had is the old guy the runs this place. He has kind of an attitude, when I was struggling to get the fishing pole to do something he grabbed my hand and showed me where to place it instead of being calm about it. And a few days later I said I wouldn't be going out on the boat for the day because I wanted to rest and he got upset and kinda through his hands in the air and shook his head because that ment he wouldn't have made more money from me on that day. And the cabins don't have front curtains for some reason. The side windows in your bedroom does but the front sliding door on all the cabins don't have curtains for privacy. I'm guessing this is so they have a cheaper electric bill from using more natural light instead of the overhead ones, it also kind of makes sense because they also unscrewed a lightbulb in the bathroom to save energy. But they did at least give you your own thermostat to make your room as warm as you like. The animals aren't afraid of people so you will see bald eagles right Infront of your cabin and dear. You can also see black bears in the distance sometimes. Overall I had a really fun experience. ALSO be aware you may gain a few pounds at this resort because the staff makes pastries and cookies and leave them outside for you to take as many as you want, and they serve so much delicious food and breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you are going to want to eat a lot.
